Drystore Project

Area

Area

2000 m²

The Brief

Built with the requirements of the future tenant forefront this project needed a constructed programme sympathetic to the  ongoing operations on the rest of the site, specifically trucks to access existing warehouse.

The staging had to accommodate daily variations on other site activity, including multiple truck movements per day.  This required minimising of the construction lay down area as well as reducing other site disturbance.

The Challenges Met / Solutions

Logistic challenges for delivery were met by Agility Structure’s vertical integration; fabrication was aligned to ensure paint and site delivery were just in time.  When client timetables shifted the control of delivery offered by Agility Structures having its own vehicle fleet, drivers and load pilots meant that quick changes could be made negating both client and construction disruptions.

Key Benefits

The new building was Stage One of a project with a total of 4,000 m2  growth plan.  The design allows for the ability to remove half of the columns to open plan the future stage.

Agility Structures worked around ongoing operations to get this project completed, with activity continuing on the rest of the site, specifically trucks to access the existing warehouse.
